Install from the Shopify App Store

1. Open the Checkout Commander listing in the Shopify App Store.
2. Click Add app, then choose the store you want to install it on.
3. Approve the requested access scopes (write_delivery_customizations and read_locales).
4. You’ll be redirected into the Shopify admin with Checkout Commander loaded. The app starts on a free Developer plan so you can explore without entering billing details.

First-run setup

When you open the app for the first time, the home dashboard shows usage stats (current plan, operation count). Before you can build your first operation, set a few things in Settings:

• Default weight unit — the unit you want to use when building weight-based conditions (kilograms, pounds, etc.). This is a per-shop default.
• Primary locale — the locale that rename operations will fall back to when a customer’s locale doesn’t have a specific translation (e.g. en).
• Available locales — every locale your shop supports, used by multi-locale rename operations. Add each as a language code plus optional country code (e.g. en, en-CA, fr, fr-FR).
• Notification email (shop and user) — the addresses that receive critical notifications such as plan expiry reminders.

You can change all of these at any time from Settings in the app.

What happens after install

Checkout Commander runs a short first-run job in the background that registers the delivery-customization and payment-customization functions on your store. Once that completes, the home dashboard is fully populated and you can start creating operations. You don’t need to wait for it to finish — the app is usable in read mode immediately, and you’ll see a toast when setup is done.
