Managing your plan

You can see and change your current plan at any time from the app’s home dashboard, or by opening Manage plan in the navigation. Billing is handled through Shopify App Subscriptions, so the same card on file with Shopify is used for all charges.

The home dashboard shows your current plan, your operation usage against the plan limit, and links to upgrade. The plan name and remaining time on any free trial are visible at the top of every page.

  1. Open Manage plan from the navigation.
  2. Compare the plans side-by-side. The full feature list for each plan is in Plans and feature gating.
  3. Click Select plan on the one you want. Shopify opens a confirmation page for the new recurring charge.
  4. Approve the charge in Shopify. The plan change takes effect immediately when Shopify confirms it.

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You’ll keep your current plan’s features (and current operations) until then.

Developer and partner shops don’t have a trial — they’re free. The first paid plan you pick starts a 14-day free trial. If you cancel during the trial, you won’t be charged.

If your subscription isn’t renewed (for example, the card on file fails), Shopify sends Checkout Commander a webhook and the app moves your shop onto the Developer plan automatically. Delivery-customization and payment-customization functions for your store are removed, so your rules stop running at checkout. Your operations are kept in the database — if you re-subscribe on a paid plan later, your rules come back online.

You’ll get a series of reminder emails as expiry approaches. See Plan and billing for the full sequence.

  1. Open Manage plan from the navigation.
  2. Click Cancel subscription. Shopify asks you to confirm.
  3. Confirm. Your subscription ends at the end of the current billing period. The app moves to the Developer plan when the period ends and your live functions are removed.

There’s no fee to cancel, and the operations you’ve created stay in the database.
